It’s not the decision of only the director but also of the actors and producers who are part of the decision to remake a classic movie. Hence the mistake can’t be entirely Ram Gopal Varma’s regarding remaking Bollywood’s all time classic movie ‘Sholay’ as ‘Ram Gopal Varma ki Aag’.
Here the decision was wrong but they worked as hard as they have worked for 1975’s ‘Sholay’ directed by Ramesh Sippy says the Bollywood megastar. Since he is a part of the film, he is also responsible for the failure along with the producer and director who took the decision.
Ram Gopal Varma’s remake earned a lot of flak for experimenting with the cult movie. He was ridiculed heavily for the senseless remake. But this confession from Amitabh shows his dignity and sensible words without kindling strife.
