Teja Sajja’s Mirai is stunning the trade with strong numbers, yet social media has turned it into a battleground of trolling. Some groups are comparing Mirai collections with recent disaster NTR’s War 2 to trigger NTR fans against Mirai and their reactions are visible all over social media.
Mahesh Babu fans are also not too pleased to see Teja’s film doing well, especially since HanuMan had earlier crushed a star hero film like Guntur Kaaram.
This brings up the real question. What if Mirai was made by a star kid? If Pawan Kalyan’s son Akira Nandan, Balakrishna’s son Mokshagna, or Mahesh Babu’s son Gautham debuted with Mirai, social media and fan groups would have immediately declared that a new star is born. The hype and elevations would have had no limits.
The problem lies not only with production houses and their support for star kids but also with the mindset of common audiences. Many fans are quick to welcome star kids but expect someone like Teja, who works selectively and tries to earn his place, to struggle harder for due recognition.
Stars like Nani and Vijay Deverakonda have faced the same journey earlier, and now Teja is experiencing it. The narrative needs to change if real talent is to get its due.
