Mirai Removes Two Songs, Team’s Best Call

Mirai songs removed for story impact

Teja Sajja’s Mirai is out and the film is receiving huge appreciation for its ambitious attempt by underdog Teja and director Karthik Gattamneni. The production house People Media Factory, led by T.G. Vishwa Prasad, is also winning praise for backing young talent and delivering impressive VFX quality.

After watching the final cut, the team made an interesting decision to remove two songs they had already filmed. One of them, Vibe Undi, was released earlier and worked well with audiences. The other was a stylish track featuring Nidhhi Agerwal and Teja. While it was not exactly an item song, reports suggest it was shot well. Even so, the makers decided not to include either of the tracks in the final version.

That decision turned out to be a blessing for the film. If the songs had been added, the sincere effort and core of Mirai might not have received the same appreciation. Forcing dance numbers into a story-driven film could have diluted the impact and hurt the goodwill it earned. Despite the expense of filming the songs, the makers made the right call by leaving them out.
