After Kabir Singh’s phenomenal success in 2019, it really felt like Shahid Kapoor had finally arrived. But his later films couldn’t match Kabir Singh’s. Except for the web series Farzi, all his projects turned out to be damp squibs.
Now Shahid Kapoor has agreed to be a part of two films. One of them is going to be Koi Shaq, directed by Rosshan Andrrews. It is speculated to be the remake of the Malayalam film Mumbai Police, but the makers have denied it.
Shahid is going to romance Pooja Hegde in this action thriller. This is one of Pooja’s few promising films left in her kitty after she lost Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram.
Shahid’s next film is going to be a comedy entertainer directed by Bhool Bhulaiya 2’s Anees Bazmee. Rashmika Mandanna has been signed to play Shahid’s romantic interest in the film. Rashmika has a lot of promising projects up her sleeve, like Animal and Pushpa 2. This Shahid Kapoor film is the least interesting of them all.
Shahid Kapoor, in both of his upcoming films, is running after Tollywood beauties, Pooja Hegde and Rashmika Mandanna (technically, they are not from Telugu states but have done their most prominent works in Tollywood). He is hoping that these two popular Tollywood glamor dolls will bring some luck and success to his ailing Bollywood career.
