Leading Production House, Mythri Movie Makers forayed into the distribution business.
It was said that they are not happy with Dil Raju’s style of working and so, forayed into the business themselves. The distribution office was launched amid huge fanfare.
Their first two films are their own production ventures – Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy. They were successful ventures in the Sankranthi season.
Everyone expected Mythri to go aggressive in the business and stand as a competitor for Dil Raju and Asian Suniel in the area but it’s been more than five months and the story is different.
Mythri did not distribute any star films after Sankranthi. They were after micro-small films like Konaseema Thugs, Rangamarthanda, and another small film releasing next month.
They are not bidding aggressively for big or medium star films giving an impression that they are not confident enough or interested enough in the business.
Last month, M9News asked Dil Raju about Mythri’s distribution. “Everyone came to know the value of Dil Raju in three months itself. We are doing films continuously. The production houses that want me are always with me,” Dil Raju said.
He read out the list of notable films releasing in the next couple of months implying Mythri is nowhere in the business after initial Hungama.
As of now, the initial impression of Mythri’s distribution business is not great. We will have to see if they will change gears from here or stick to distributing only their films and some small films that never get noticed.
