Abhishek Nama has been crafting a Pan-India sensational epic, Nagabhandam with Virat Karrna in leading role. Produced by Kishore Annapureddy and Nishitha Nagireddy, the movie is going to be prestigious magnum opus for Summer 2026. The makers have introduced a pivotal figure in this epic tale, the dreaded Afghan Sultan Abdali, portrayed by Rishabh Sawhney, today.
Rishabh Sawhney, who previously made a mark with his commanding presence in the film Fighter, undergoes a stunning transformation to play Abdali. The recently released first-look poster captures the sheer intensity of the character, showing Rishabh amidst a snow-covered battlefield, brandishing a blood-soaked battle axe as his massive army charges behind him.
The imagery is both haunting and powerful, featuring war elephants and a pack of wolves that add to the sense of impending doom. Reflecting on the role, Rishabh expressed his dedication to the project, stating, “I am honored to portray a character as challenging as Abdali. I aimed to reflect the complexities and motives of this historical figure while remaining true to the story’s essence.”
As the production nears completion, the makers are gearing up to intensify the promotional campaign. Nabha Natesh, Ishwarya Menon are playing prominent leading lady roles in this magnificient epic. The teaser is set to be released on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri.
