New generation actors are making entry into Tollywood these days. Heroes like Nani, Sharwanand and a couple of others who don’t have any cine back ground are making their mark in the industry. Nevertheless, most of the top heroes in the industry belong to the four big families aka Mega family, Akkineni family, Nandamuri family and Daggubati family.
Both Mega and Nandamuri family heroes have more mass image than class. Though Venkatesh started with mass action entertainer, gradually he slided into class category. From the begining Akkineni’s were inevitably class romantic heroes. Though they tried variety, finally they had to settle for class. But the reach and the box-office collections of a mass hero are far more bigger. This fact seems to be disturbing Nagarjuna these days.
Assuring that Akhil’s first movie as a hero is a mass entertainer he is taking every care that his younger son doesn’t slip into class category. With his handsome looks even challenging the most handsome Mahesh Babu, Akhil has every chance to shine as a romantic hero. Hence VV Vinayak came into the scene to direct Akhil’s first venture as hero.
For Chaitu, at a press conference recently at Annapurna Studios, Nagarjuna said that he wants Chaitu to break the mould as a romanctic hero and aim for a action hero image. Seems Nag isn’t very happy on the class image of Chaitu while his contemporaries’ sons are going forward with larger than life image doing mass entertainers.
