Ramayana, is a story laced in every Indian heart and soul. Indians don’t believe it as mythological story but a real historical event where King Rama became Lord Rama by defeating a monster like Ravana. The cultural impact of the story has been fresh in our minds for over 5000 years and bringing it to life, Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash are starring in lead roles in Namit Malhotra’s Ramayana directed by Nitesh Tiwari. The movie is produced by Namit Malhotra and Yash.
The makers have unveiled first glimpse of Rama from the film and it is a visual epic. Each frame is meticulously crafted like a painting and Ranbir Kapoor is perfect as Rama. The larger-than-life battle portions, Rama fighting with different monsters, demons in forests before Ravana enters into the story are produced on Hollywood level.
Sound Design, BGM by Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman elevate the visuals to next level Ram looking at Ayodhya while going into exile from his boat, entire people of Ayodhya looking at Ram, Sita and Lakshmana, before they leave the city, Ram’s battles are designed brilliantly in an awe-inspiring manner. While they did not reveal Yash, we see Pushpaka Vimana design near to the description in the scriptures. VFX by DNEG is exceptional.
The first part seem to talk about Rama’s exile and emotional connect with Ayodhya, love story with Sita while second one will unleash Rama-Ravana Yudh after Sita’s kidnap by Ravana. The production values, VFX work, visuals, production design, characters and BGM everything make this version of Ramayana a must watch. First part is releasing for 2026 Diwali and second part for 2027 Diwali.
