Nani’s The Paradise: Is an A Certificate Waiting?

Nani The Paradise Runtime and Censor

Nani’s The Paradise is heading towards a September 24 release with a 2 hour 49 minute final cut, as revealed by director Srikanth Odela. That itself has caught attention, but the talk around the film’s violence is making things more interesting.

During the recent press meet, the way the makers spoke about the film gave the impression that they were already prepared for the possibility of an A certificate.

Nothing has been officially announced yet. But considering the kind of violent world Odela has created, the speculation is understandable.

The teaser already gave a glimpse of the film’s brutal setting and Nani’s intense character. Now, with a nearly three-hour final cut, the team appears to be sticking to the film they wanted to make rather than playing safe.

Odela is coming off Dasara, and expectations are naturally high for his reunion with Nani. The Paradise looks like an even darker film, with violence playing a major role in its world.

The censor certification will now be another interesting point to watch. If the film gets an A certificate, the makers’ approach during the press meet may suddenly make a lot more sense.
