Nikhil Siddhartha has been working tirelessly over three years transforming himself into a warrior for Bharat Krishnmachari’s directorial Swayambhu. The highly anticipated period movie teaser has been unveiled today and it has been played in 3D for media at PCX, Hyderabad. Unanimously, everyone is praising the cinematic experience that the epic offers.
Set against the rugged backdrop of 985 AD, the film explores the ancient origins of the Sengol, a divine sceptre gifted by Lord Shiva to Shri Ram. An evil King of a vast Kingdom wants the Sengol to call himself Emperor but it is being guarded by determined guardians. How will they stop the surge of evil King’s forces under Nikhil, forms the crux of the story.
Nikhil is a revelation in this teaser. Sporting long warrior locks, a sharp curled moustache, and a rugged beard, his physical presence is commanding and authoritative. He doesn’t just play the character; he inhabits the skin of a battle-hardened hero with a ferocity that jumps off the screen. His screen presence is magnetic, especially during the high-octane combat sequences where his raw physicality and intense expressions set the tone for a great performance.
The visuals are a triumph of modern Indian cinema. Vision of Bharat Krishnmachari is brought to life incredibly by cinematographer KK Senthil Kumar and music by Ravi Basrur enhanced the experience further. VFX work, intricate production design and Hollywood-standard stunts, make each frame a painting. Swayambhu is a must watch theatrical experience and the teaser is perfectly cut to showcase the epic scale produced by Bhuvan and Sreekar.
