No Better Man Than Sukumar For Ram Charan

After having tested epic success with RRR Ram Charan followed it up with films like Acharya and Game Changer. But the discussion now is quickly moving on to his upcoming films.

After the ongoing film with Buchi Babu, Charan has the film with Sukumar, which is yet to be officially announced, but has commenced production already.

Considering the kind of shaky filmography that is being put up by Charan in the recent past, the choice to work with Sukumar is a much needed one now.

Sukumar had already redefined Charan’s career with Rangasthalam, and the duo is coming back together again for another film.

The way Sukumar packaged and designed the world of Pushpa is beyond normalcy. The way he engineered the action blocks in the second part and set up certain scenes is very good. The interval staging, police station scene, Jathara scene, and other crucial blocks are meticulously conceived and executed.

It is true that Pushpa has its own shortcomings, but it must also be noted that Sukumar excelled in getting the commercial graph right.

It could perhaps be argued that Sukumar is next only to Rajamouli when it comes to engineering commercial films now. He has gotten a perfect grip of the commercial meter and is packaging his films quite well.

What Charan essentially needs now is a minimum guarantee commercial film, which is ultimately going to be the responsibility of Buchi Babu who is directing immediate next film. Once that is done, it is Sukumar, who will have to carefully engineer a safe film for Charan.

Charan simply can’t afford another disaster like Acharya or to a certain degree, Game Changer. He needs to take a queue from his contemporary and deliver at least minimum guarantee films.

Considering that Charan had already delivered a masterpiece in the form of Rangasthalam earlier with Sukumar, the expectation is that the talented director will put up something of this sort again.
