Thalapathy Vijay has just announced his next film, titled “Thalapathy 68.” Venkat Prabhu will direct the movie, and the music will be composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
AGS Entertainment, which previously collaborated with Vijay for the successful film ‘Bigil,’ will be associated with him once again for this project.
Vijay is signing projects left, right, and center these days. He already had a release in 2023 with Varisu, and his next Leo is getting ready to release later this year. Even before the completion of Leo, he has now announced his next project with Venkat Prabhu.
It is speculated that he already has another project lined up with Atlee next year. It has been his strategy of doing films on a regular basis for the past many years without any breaks.
Many big stars these days are struggling to do even two projects in three years. In that aspect, Telugu superstars like Prabhas, NTR, and Ram Charan dedicated 4-5 years of their life to one project while working with SS Rajamouli.
It looks like Vijay isn’t that ambitious, and he wants to keep doing movies at a rapid pace and with a minimum guarantee. Some comment that he has no vision and is just doing movies without gaps.
Also, the concept of pan-India films has yet to reach the Tamil market, and stars like Vijay are happy to cater to the local markets by doing regular commercial fares with minimum guarantee box office returns and not going after period movies or pan-India projects. That’s his business model, and he is right now happy in that space.
