The management of Apollo Hospitals has issued a notice ending the rumours. The statement read that Mani Ratnam has been to the hospital for a regular check-up and he is absolutely fine. It is not the first time that the director has been to a hospital, in the past, he had issued too. Add to it the current environment where one hears a celeb every day getting diagnosed with an illness; there was a predictable worry among the movie lovers.
Mani Ratnam is currently busy in the filming of Chekka Chivantha Vaanam. It is getting dubbed into Telugu as Nawab. An update regarding the release date is awaited.
