Malayalam film Aasha starring Urvashi, Joju George and Aishwarya Lekshmi in the lead roles and directed by debutant Safar Sanal, was released in theatres on September 11th and has received positive responses from audiences and critics.
On September 11th, three Malayalam movies were released, out of which Pradhama Drishtiya Kuttakkar and Aasha are receiving super positive responses from audiences and performing well at the box office.
Many viewers, after watching Aasha, are suggesting that it is one of the finest psychological films released in Malayalam in recent times and are highly appreciating Urvashi’s acting performance in the film.
Furthermore, they claim that the film was gripping from the beginning and is basically a character-driven film. They note that Joju George and Aishwarya Lekshmi have done their parts well and overall, Aasha is a solid thriller.
Since Nivin Pauly’s Bethlehem Kudumba Unit, released for the Onam weekend, is still dominating at the box office, Aasha had a very average opening and only a few screens were allocated for the film on its Day 1.
However, with the super positive word of mouth, bookings for the film are now picking up and according to reports, the Day 3 collections of the film are almost double those of Day 1.
Ultimately, it remains to be seen how Aasha is going to perform in box office collections and whether it emerges as a blockbuster success in the following days.
