Prabhas teamed up with Prashanth Neel for the first time in 2023 on the Hombale Films production Salaar. The film earned about Rs 600 crore worldwide and ended on a cliffhanger, hinting at a clash between Prabhas and Prithviraj in the sequel. Since then, there have been many reports about Salaar 2.
Bollywood insiders report that Salaar 2 is set to start filming on August 10, with an initial 15-day shoot at Ramoji Film City. According to these insiders, a set has been prepared at the studio, and the producers at Hombale Films have confirmed this schedule.

Prashanth Neel has committed to working on two major projects in 2024 and 2025: Salaar 2 and Dragon, starring NTR. They claim that Prashanth has coordinated with the producers to ensure both films stay on track.
However, Telugu media claims that Prashanth Neel is concentrating only on NTR’s film titled Dragon right now. He doesn’t want to deviate and will concentrate on only one project at a time and right now his entire dedication is towards Dragon.

Although Salaar was a financial success, it didn’t achieve the expected breakout. The response on OTT and satellite was also not very strong. Outside of Prabhas fans, the anticipation for Salaar isn’t very high at the moment.
Hombale Films has made significant efforts to make Salaar 2 happen, but due to a lack of high market demand, Prashanth Neel might prioritize Dragon. There is no official confirmation yet.
