Pawan Kalyan’s OG has turned out to be a solid hit in North America. The distributor Prathyangira Cinemas, who bought the film years ago for a token amount, made the deal at a price similar to that of a mid-range hero.
Interestingly, the same distributor suffered heavy losses earlier with Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu. This time, the gamble worked, and OG became one of the actor’s biggest overseas successes.
Among North American markets, Texas led by a massive margin. The state grossed over 1.3 million dollars, far ahead of all others. California followed in second place with about 460,000 dollars.
All remaining states contributed under the 300,000-dollar range, roughly between 100,000 and 300,000 dollars each. The performance clearly shows Pawan Kalyan’s growing fan base in the U.S. South.
Here’s the list of the top twenty states contributing to OG’s box office in North America:
1. Texas – $1.35M
2. California – $462K
3. North Carolina – $285K
4. New Jersey – $283K
5. Illinois – $219K
6. Georgia – $237K
7. Virginia – $212K
8. Florida – $210K
9. Washington – $210K
10. Ohio – $184K
11. New York – $149K
12. Pennsylvania – $131K
13. Ontario – $121K
14. Michigan – $120K
15. Missouri – $125K
16. Arizona – $110K
17. Kansas – $99K
18. Massachusetts – $92K
19. Tennessee – $88K
20. Connecticut – $84K
The numbers highlight Texas as OG’s strongest market by far, making it one of Pawan Kalyan’s top-performing regions overseas.
