It’s known that Pawan Kalyan currently has three films in the pipeline: Hari Hara Veera Mallu produced by A.M. Ratnam, OG produced by D.V.V. Danayya, and Ustaad Bhagat Singh directed by Harish Shankar under Mythri Movie Makers.
However, among these fans seem most excited about OG, because of its gangster backdrop and the teaser that generated massive hype.
In fact, the buzz around OG has unintentionally cast a shadow over Hari Hara Veera Mallu, even though it’s the film hitting screens this week.
Wherever Pawan Kalyan appears—especially at political events—fans have been chanting “OG, OG, OG,” sidelining the immediate release. This overwhelming focus on OG has prevented Hari Hara Veera Mallu from receiving the momentum it desperately needed.
For any producer, this situation would be disheartening.
A.M. Ratnam, known for being a honest and straightforward person, openly shared his feelings about it. Speaking candidly, he said it was disappointing to hear fans shouting “OG” everywhere while his film was approaching release.
He also pointed out that the hero’s name in Hari Hara Veera Mallu is Veera, and the film itself could’ve easily inspired similar cheers—“Veera! Veera!”—but that didn’t happen.
It’s a rare, honest confession—something not many producers would admit so publicly. But that’s A.M. Ratnam.
Hari Hara Veera Mallu is now gearing up for its premieres this Wednesday in India, with Pawan Kalyan in full action mode. Fans and the team alike are hoping that momentum picks up in a big way starting this week.
