Mahesh Babu’s name has been linked with an infamous copyright claim by a writer named Sharath Chandra who claimed that Srimanhudu’s script is a scene-by-scene copy of his Chachentha Prema story on Swathi weekly. A criminal case has been filed against the director of the film, Koratala Siva with regard to this case.
Now, another film of Mahesh has come under the pump with regard to the copyright case. Incidentally, this allegation is also from the same writer – Sharath Chandra.
Sharath Chandra has claimed that Mahesh’s Maharshi film is also a replica of his story and he will use legal means to have his rightful claim. He says he will approach this case once the verdict on the Srimanthudu case is out.
Strangely enough, two of Mahesh’s films – Srimanthudu and Maharshi are under the pump over the copyright allegations. This is a tricky situation for both of his directors Koratala Siva and Vamshi Paidipally.
The court already ordered Koratala to face the criminal case legally and as it appears, Vamsi will also come under the legal radar soon or later.
