2022 is gone and still, Prabhas & Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2 is the highest grosser of Hindi cinema. Last year turned out to be the worst for Bollywood in decades. The biggest and the mightiest have fallen on their knees. Bollywood delivered a total of 5 hits in 2022. Gangubai Kathiawadi, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, The Kashmir Files, Brahmastra, and Drishyam 2.
But things are looking better for Bollywood in 2023. SRK’s Pathaan is expected to take off in a big way in January and set the ball rolling for Bollywood. Other films that are expected to mark the return of Bollywood are Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, Shehzada (AVPL remake), Gadar 2, The Vaccine War, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, Bade Miyaan Chhote Miyaan, and a few others.
But the films that are expected to become the first 400-crore grosser in Bollywood and also challenge Baahubali 2’s 510-crore mark are SRK’s Pathaan, Atlee’s Jawan, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal, Salman Khan’s Tiger 3, and Raj Kumar Hirani’s Dunki.
Also, it would be interesting to see which Bollywood film will break the first-day record of KGF 2 which collected around 54 crore net.
If none of these films are successful in creating any records, then Prabhas’ Salaar, if well made, has a huge chance of breaking his own record of Baahubali 2. Adipurush was also expected to smash box office records, but after the dismal response to the teaser, the hopes have gone down.
