2024 marks the arrival of loaded and large-scale projects in the Telugu industry. There are as many as five big-scale films, yet only one appears to be an underdog, poised to spring a surprise.
From Mahesh Babu with Rajamouli, Prabhas with Sandeep Vanga, NTR with Prashanth Neel, Allu Arjun with Trivikram, to Ram Charan with Buchi Babu — these projects all boast potential pan-India reach and substantial production budgets.
However, the film that seems like an underdog is Ram Charan’s, mainly due to the relatively inexperienced director, Buchi Babu. All other films on the list are helmed by ‘star’ directors.
This is why we consider Ram Charan – Buchi Babu’s project as the only underdog on the list. Despite this, Buchi Babu displayed great potential in delivering success, as seen in his debut film, Uppena.
While success is never guaranteed, it’s interesting to see which film will surprise and make a big impact.
