Samantha has been named the best actress in a drama series at Filmfare OTT Awards 2021. These awards are given based on the audience poll. As it appears, the OTT audience seem to have picked Samantha for the best actress award. Samantha flew to Mumbai to attend the event and collect the award.
Samantha recently stated The Family Man 2 helped her explore a new avenue as an actress. The star actress stated she is looking to take up more challenging roles now and is even open to new OTT projects and also Hindi-language projects.
Given the fact that Filmfare is a popular awards event in Bollywood, this OTT-centric award could well be Samantha’s ticket to Bollywood. She is likely to receive a lot more exposure now.
Samantha recently wrapped up filming for an item song in Pushpa: The Rise. She is set to kickstart two bilingual projects that are in the early stages of production.
