Producer L. Sreedhar is extremely happy with the response he has received for his film Potugadu, which release Saturday. He says the film has opened to good numbers thanks to all the college students who flocked to theatres amid the political scenario in the state.
He says that he is glad so many came to watch his film, especially college students from all the regions of Andhra Pradesh. He adds that hundreds of theatres have already been shut down in the state, and we managed to release in nearly 600 screens. We couldn’t find more screens because most of them were shut down.
The film was official remake of Kannada film Govindaya Namaha. It featured Manchu Manoj and four new heroines opposite him. It has reportedly minted INR 3 plus crores from the opening weekend.
