After Vijay’s Jana Nayagan, Parasakthi Also Postponed?

Parasakthi release delay news

Following Vijay’s final film Jana Nayagan, it seems like Sivakarthikeyan‘s Parasakthi is also facing huge release pressure due to a delay in issuing the censorship certificate and strong speculations suggest that Parasakthi might also be postponed.

Even though the postponement of Parasakthi is currently just a buzz, some sources indicate that in countries like the Netherlands, many centers have cancelled their shows for the film and are refunding ticket prices.

After the postponement of Jana Nayagan, many trade experts suggested that Parasakthi was going to have a solid theatrical run, as there would be no split in screens and it would fully utilize the Pongal holidays.

However, they are still not sure about the release and now they are responding on social media that Parasakthi is also on the verge of postponement claiming the CBFC board has destroyed Kollywood’s Pongal.

In the midst of all these commotions on social media, the production house Dawn Pictures recently posted a poster of Parasakthi and reconfirmed that the film will be released as planned on January 10th.

But, with only one day left for the release, many theaters have still not opened pre-bookings for the film, as they remain in doubt about whether the film will be released on the planned date.

Meanwhile, according to trade experts, the pre-bookings for Parasakthi opened in some B and C centres are very poor. Thus, if this trend continues, only word of mouth can save the film. Otherwise, the film could end up as a washout in those areas.

Nonetheless, it remains to be seen whether Parasakthi will receive the censorship certificate in the following hours and whether the film will have a smooth release on January 10th.
