Ram Charan’s much-anticipated movie Peddi’s glimpse video has been released, and the response has been encouraging. But the real buzz is around its release date.
Peddi is now officially scheduled to release on March 27, 2026, which is Ram Charan’s birthday. The issue? Just a day before, on March 26, Nani is releasing his film The Paradise.
This has sparked talk of a box office clash. However, the real competition is not just between Charan and Nani—there are other interesting angles too.
Both actors are working with directors linked to Sukumar. Charan’s Peddi is directed by Buchi Babu Sana, while Nani’s Paradise is being made by Dasara fame Srikanth Odela. Even the music directors are top-tier rivals: Paradise has Anirudh, and Peddi features AR Rahman.
While Peddi has already completed 25% of its shoot, Paradise hasn’t even gone on floors yet. In terms of market and business value, Ram Charan is clearly bigger than Nani. Even if Nani wants to compete based on content, getting enough theatres could be a challenge.
Also, there’s a unique link: the director of Paradise, Srikanth Odela, is also working with Chiranjeevi for another film. Given this scenario, it might be tricky for Paradise to directly clash with Peddi.
Paradise was announced first, but when it comes to practical business decisions, Nani will think many times before locking horns with a big film like Peddi. So, even though it looks like a Charan vs Nani clash on paper, we’ll have to wait and see what really happens closer to release.
Nani is known for being cautious and marketing his films well. Also, as he himself is producing Paradise, he might be more flexible with the release date and avoid a clash with Charan.
