Music director Anirudh is known for composing catchy and fast-paced mass numbers typical of Tamil style that is instantly addictive and hit among the youth and mass. While doing the same, the young musician also manages to provide something more that makes them unique and survive beyond the immediate commercial fate of the respective movies.
In the case of “Marana Mass” from Petta, it is a catchy number, and that phrase is sure to get ringing in minds. However, the special quality that we described above is missing. It is a ‘good-while-it-lasts’ kind of song.
