The trailer of Superstar Rajinikanth’s new movie Petta is out. It is directed by Karthik Subbaraj, the new age upcoming sensation from Tamil cinema also the person behind classics Pizza and Jigarthanda.

The visual touch of Karthik Subbaraj is evident from the first frame of the trailer, but what is also visible in full throttle is the collections of vintage Superstar Rajinikanth moments. The dialogues and the entire premise seems to be built around the Superstar’s persona. The good thing is the trailer doesn’t entirely give away the plot. On the flip side, there is definitely a vibe of seen all that before. There are dialogues aplenty, but unlike the past few trailers which carried a short and crisp punch dialogue here, they seem to be forced or lengthy.
Check out the trailer below. Apart from Superstar Rajinikanth, the action thriller also stars Simran, Trisha, Vijay Sethupathi, Bobby Simha, Nawazuddin Siddique and others in important roles. Petta along with its Telugu dubbed version Peta will release worldwide on January 10th.
