Popular actress to brand Modi’s pet program

In a bid to promote the cause of girl child, Pareneeti Chopra has been selected by the Haryana Government to be the brand ambassador of Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao campaign.

The campaign aims at providing survival, protection and empowerment measures for girls and was launched from Panipat early this year by the Prime Minister himself. To start off Pareneeti’s new gig, a grand event has been planned for July 21 in Gurgaon.

Meanwhile, not all the Ministers of the state seem to be happy with this new appointment. In fact, when the CM of Haryana made the announcement, the Sports Minister of the State took to Twitter to explain that he has no information regarding the appointment of any new brand ambassador.
