Malayalam State Tourism Minister Surendran Kadakampally severely criticised Kerala superstars for not donating enough for ‘Care Kerala’ to rebuild the State that has suffered the unprecedented floods. He quoted the example of Prabhas who has donated Rs. 1 crore though he wasn’t in any way related to Malayalam.

That clearly implies the Minister of the State was clearly dissatisfied with the monetary donations that came from Malayalam stars for the rehabilitation of the flood victims. We have been hearing how even Bollywood superstars are trying to raise money for the cause and send it to Kerala for the relief measures.
But, the highest amount of donations came from Prabhas, Raghava Lawrence and AR Rehman who donated Rs. 1 crore each though they don’t belong to Kerala. The flood-beaten State needs thousands of crores for the relief activities and donations need to flow in abundantly.
