It is true that Prabhas has not been able to reach his full potential after Baahubali. All his subsequent films failed to recreate the magic of Baahubali and some even became the most trolled films in recent times. But even then Prabhas scored an impeccable record in the Hindi versions.
Since 2015, almost all of his films (barring one) have crossed the 100-crore net mark in the Hindi markets—a remarkable feat for any South actor.
Baahubali: The Beginning, Baahubali: The Conclusion, Saaho, and Adipurush all achieved this milestone, and now Salaar is well on its way to joining the club by its second weekend. Radhe Shyam is the sole exception, wrapping up under the 20 crore net mark.
Joining Prabhas in the league of South actors who’ve hit the 100-crore net mark in Hindi are Allu Arjun, NTR, Ram Charan, Yash, and Rishabh Shetty. Prabhas took eight years to accumulate five 100-crore net Hindi films. It remains to be seen how long it will take for others to achieve the same.
However, considering the current pace, it might take another decade or so for these actors to secure five or more 100-crore net films in Hindi. Ironically, by that time, the 100-crore mark would no longer be considered a significant milestone in the ever-evolving landscape of Hindi cinema.
