Prabhas’ upcoming film Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, continues to draw attention from fans as shooting progresses in Hyderabad. Already one of the most anticipated Indian films in production, the latest developments from the sets have only added to the buzz.
One of the biggest attractions of the film is Prabhas’ role as an intense police officer, a character expected to showcase him in a powerful and aggressive avatar. Reportedly, there is a dialogue in the film where he says, “I don’t follow law, I am the law,” which is sure to send fans into a frenzy in theatres. Though nothing about the dialogue is officially confirmed.
The film recently began a major schedule in Hyderabad, with Sandeep Reddy Vanga reportedly planning shoots at several locations across the city, including Vimal Theatre in Balanagar and parts of Hitech City. As expected, Prabhas’ presence created a frenzy wherever the team arrived.
One particular location became a major attraction when thousands of fans reportedly gathered outside Vimal Theatre after learning that Prabhas was filming there. Videos and pictures from the spot quickly went viral, with many pointing out that the actor rarely appears in public because of the massive crowds he attracts.
The excitement grew further after reports emerged that the production team had arranged heavy police security around the location. Photos showing large water tanks near the theatre also surfaced online, leading to speculation that the makers could be preparing to shoot a massive rain-action sequence, although there has been no official confirmation.
Meanwhile, another development sent social media into overdrive. A photo shared by the film’s hairstylist, Pooja, briefly appeared on Instagram before being deleted. However, screenshots quickly spread online.
The viral image showed Prabhas sporting a striking new look. Appearing noticeably leaner, with a well-groomed beard and a vertical tilak on his forehead, the star’s intense appearance immediately caught fans’ attention. Many believe the look offers a glimpse of how Sandeep Reddy Vanga has designed his character in the film. Looks like Vanga wants to again ruffle a few feathers by showing Prabhas as an aggressive Hindu, which a section of the audience will find extremely appealing, while some may not like it.
Spirit is scheduled for a worldwide release on March 5, 2027. The film is jointly produced by T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures. Triptii Dimri plays the female lead, while Vivek Oberoi will be seen as the primary antagonist. Veteran actress Kanchana, Aishwarya Desai, and several other actors are part of the supporting cast.
