After the success of Animal, audiences are eagerly waiting to see what Sandeep Reddy Vanga is bringing with Prabhas in Spirit. Meanwhile, a new update related to the film has now made headlines.
Online reports have revealed that due to the busy schedule of Prabhas, the release timeline of his movies has witnessed a change, and Spirit is also included in the same. The movie was supposed to arrive on March 5, 2027, and now it has been pushed to another date in the same year.
Although a specific date has not been confirmed, an insider revealed that the movie won’t be able to reach the theatres by March 2027. The source said that the makers are working to finalize another date that will suit perfectly for such a big film.
While early reports claimed that the movie was clashing with Salman Khan’s Monster, the superstar’s fans are happy now that his film will get a solo release without any big competition, helping the action-drama to grab attention. The delay will also benefit Khosla Ka Ghosla 2, which is releasing on March 5, 2027.
Even if Spirit is not releasing on the promised date, a few reports state that Fauzi is now supposed to arrive on March 18, 2027. The makers are reportedly aiming to complete the shoot by December 2026, and a special glimpse is releasing on October 23, 2026, which even marks the birthday of Prabhas.
Amid reports of a delay in Spirit’s release, Prabhas’ fans are expecting T-Series to announce a new date for the film on the occasion of the Rebel Star’s birthday. But the reports have yet to be confirmed by the makers.
Reacting to the update of Spirit postponing its release, netizens reacted by saying that it has now become a common thing for Prabhas’ films, as they never arrive on the promised release date. Some advised Prabhas to focus on one film at a time instead of keeping himself busy with multiple projects. They said that this is one of the reasons why his films never arrive on promised dates.
Apart from this, the delay has now raised questions about the content of Spirit. Social media users have asked whether Sandeep or the producers are not confident about Prabhas anymore, specifically after the underwhelming performance of The Raja Saab at the box office.
However, Prabhas’ fans are still in support, saying that the delay will help to bring a new side of him on screen and content that will be loved by the masses. But it will be interesting to see how long the fans have to wait to learn about the new release date.
