Prabhas’ Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, is already one of the most anticipated pan India projects. Designed as a police action thriller, the film is scheduled to hit theatres on March 5, 2027, with plans for a multilingual release, including an unusual push into the Korean market.
The project is red hot in trade purely based on its combination. In a significant development, the theatrical rights for the Telugu states have already been locked. Leading production and distribution houses Mythri Movie Makers and People Media Factory have acquired these rights, despite not much official content being released so far. This deal underlines the confidence the industry has in the Prabhas and Vanga collaboration.
Mythri and People Media Factory do not have a very strong reputation in distribution. Mythri Movie Makers ventured into distribution and releases films under the name of Mythri Film Distributors. They are mainly focused on Nizam, and they hold a decent number of screens after acquiring the ground lease.
However, Mythri Film Distributors was badly criticized and trolled during Raja Saab’s release in Nizam. The film’s premiere shows were not opened until the last minute, and they lost big money because of the delay. Fans were furious that the first day collections took a big hit due to their poor release strategy.
So, it has to be seen how they are able to handle a massive project like Spirit.
The film is being produced by T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures. The cast includes Triptii Dimri as the female lead, Vivek Oberoi as the antagonist, and Prakash Raj in a key role. The film is currently in production.
