Generally, when a Telugu director delivers a blockbuster, he is naturally bound to be flooded with opportunities from big heroes and reputed production labels. But these exact opposite is the case with Telugu film maker, Prashanth Verma.
Prashanth delivered a blockbuster in the form of Hanuman, which turned out to be a surprisingly big money spinner. But just when everyone thought this film would kickstart the career of Prashanth and catapult him to the big league, this push never really arrived.
Prashanth had been briefly occupied with multiple films, including a collaboration with Ranveer Singh and a film with Balakrishna’s son Mokshagna. But none of these materialised and actually took the form of a full-fledged project.
Now Prashanth might be occupied with the shooting production activities of Zombie Reddy 2, but he expected better things after blockbuster Hanuman.
A monumental success that could drastically change the fate of a director like Hanuman was not sufficient enough to change the career graph of Varma and that’s as strange as it can get. Only time will tell if he will be able to make a solid comeback with his next film which is coincidentally taking an eternity to happen.
