Pan India Star Prabhas‘ Radhe Shyam has taken a rather ordinary, below-par start at the box office. We are talking about the Telugu states here. Everyone might be aware of how disastrously it has fared in Hindi.
On the first day, Radhe Shyam has collected a little less than 26 Cr in Telugu states. It is below par because the last film of Prabhas was a non-Baahubali record collecting around 38 Cr. To further put things in perspective, the opening day is less than the recent biggie Bheemla Nayak which had price restrictions in place.
The reason for worry though is the recovery price for Radhe Shyam. The movie has to recover over 105 Cr from Telugu states alone. Given the ordinary starts and the word of mouth, it’s an uphill task for the Prabhas starrer to break even. A clear picture would emerge after the weekend, but the early signs are far from positive.
The second day has started decently, so there is little hope. Watch this space for complete box office updates of Prabhas’ Radhe Shyam.
