In Tamil Nadu, Politics has become a source to entertain false interpretations and fight over petty issues. The same has happened in case of Raghava Lawrence’s statements on various issues.

Though, he spoke about various issues post-Jallikattu protests, only his political comments were highlighted. He was quoted saying that he would enter politics if needed. Giving a clarification on his statement, Lawrence corrected it by adding ‘if needed’.
‘If needed’ in this context means that he would enter politics not because of his own interest, when a situation arises where enthusiastic youth interested in politics would need his support as a backbone, explained Raghava Lawrence. He is unhappy that his words are misquoted.
