India’s legendary director SS Rajamouli is promoting Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s Brahmastra in an aggressive way. He is even presenting the Telugu version of Brahmastra.
The other day, Rajamouli took to Twitter and posted a special video in which he heaped praises on Brahmastra director Ayan Mukherjee and his vision of filmmaking. Rajamouli also extended his support to the film unit and the film producer Karan Johar.
Soon after, many Twitter users started bashing Rajamouli for falling into the trap of Bollywood and promoting it. Many were saying that they have immense respect for Rajamouli, but he needs to stay away from Bollywood.
#BoycottBollywood trend has been going in its most fierce way on social media, and now Rajamouli has become the target of the right-wing trolls. These people are opposing any and every film with no or little logic and running boycott hashtags. This happened with Laal Singh Chaddha and also Liger.
But SS Rajamouli is someone who knows what he is doing, and he will not bow down to these people. He knows if the film goes on to do well, he will also be given some credit for its success.
NTR is attending the biggest pre-release event of Brahmastra on September 2, and it would be no surprise if this Boycott gang starts targetting him as well.
