It is a rare record for any actor to not do a straight film for a period of five years. Pawan Kalyan’s last original film, Agnyathavaasi, was released in January 2018.
After that, he had three releases: Vakeel Saab, Bheemla Nayak, and Bro, and all were remakes. Doing only remakes for more than half a decade is a very rare record in any actor’s filmography, which is not very flattering.
Pawan Kalyan’s next film, OG, is his first original film since 2018. Fans are rejoicing that they will finally be able to see an original film from their idol. The film is directed by Saaho fame Sujeeth. Recently, A few pictures were released showing Pawan working with trained martial artists, and he will be doing martial art-related stunts in the film.
Sujeeth made a promising debut with Run Raja Run, which was a decent film for a first-timer. But his next film, Saaho, was an absolute mess in terms of direction. Except for some stylish shots, Sujeeth’s direction was clueless.
OG is a gangster action drama that again stars a plethora of actors, just like Saaho. Sujeeth has to deliver big this time or else his career might face an abrupt end, and Pawan will have to go back hunting for easy remakes.
