The Kamalnathan committee appointed to divide employees between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh is still pending the final allocations. Until then temporary allocation is made with several Andhra employees have been temporarily allotted to Telangana and vice versa. But there is a confusion all over as AP government recently increased the retiring age from 58 (in United State and Telangana) to 60.
There are some AP employees in Telangana service who are going to retire (at the age of 58) well before the final allocation. And there are some Telangana employees in AP service who gets their service extended even after being 58 according to AP rules. There are more than 6,500 such cases in both the states and are not able to take any decision on these cases. The permanent allocation of the staff between the two states will take more than months to complete. The panel has to make public the guidelines, records objections and finally carries out the division with out any controversies.
