Right Time For Charan To Be Brave?

Right Time For Ram Charan To Be BraveShould Charan do a Mani Ratnam film? Can Charan afford a disaster now? How will a top mass hero fare with back to back non-regular masala fares? These are some of the questions that arise when we think of a film in the combination of Ram Charan and Mani Ratnam.

A simple and straight answer to some of those above mentioned questioned can be got if we simply ask ourselves, is Charan chasing records? The answer right now is, no. A Dhruva even at best could not have been a record grosser, the same things augurs for Mani Ratnam film as well and this is true even in the case the legendary director manages to give his best commercial film in ages.

So, should Charan go ahead with it? We think he should and here’s why? With Megastar Chiranjeevi back in the business and starting off blazingly with Khaidi No 150, there is really no pressure on Charan to hold “Mega” legacy at the top. It will be taken care by Chiranjeevi. Then there is Pawan Kalyan who is at the peak of his career. Amidst these two big pillars, Charan should simply look at growing as an artist without entirely losing sight of the commercial aspect.

Dhruva was a perfect film in that regard and Sukumar film has a big potential to achieve the same. There is a Koratala Siva film coming up, so, risking with a Mani Ratnam movie is fine. If it clicks genuinely it would be a massive boost, if it doesn’t there will always be a Koratala Siva to fall on. As they say, fortune favors the brave, right now Charan has the perfect cushion to make brave choices.
