Rishab Shetty Vs Hombale: Ego Clash or Something Bigger?

Rishab Shetty Hombale Films Kantara

The social media activity around Rishab Shetty and Hombale Films has given Kantara fans plenty to talk about. There is no confirmed fallout between them. But the way both sides marked the Kantara anniversary without mentioning each other has raised doubts.

Rishab recently shared an emotional post celebrating the journey of Kantara. He posted BTS pictures and film moments while thanking the audience and his team. He also spoke about the challenge of taking the prequel to audiences after the huge success of Kantara.

But fans quickly noticed something. There was no Hombale Films logo on Rishab’s anniversary artwork. He also did not tag the production house.

Hombale Films then shared its own anniversary post. The production house posted a dramatic image of a tiger coming out of flames along with its logo. But there was no picture of Rishab and no direct mention of him.

The speculation is not new. In March 2026, reports said Rishab had unfollowed Hombale Films, along with Kantara: Chapter 1 co-stars Rukmini Vasanth and Raj B Shetty. Neither Rishab nor Hombale confirmed that this was linked to any dispute.

Now, the anniversary posts have added more fuel to the talk. Some fans are even saying that Hombale’s tiger image was a deliberate message to Rishab.

There are also industry rumors about creative differences, money issues and uncertainty over the future of Kantara. Rishab’s other projects, including Jai Hanuman, have added to the discussion.

Still, there is no official confirmation that Rishab and Hombale have split. Kantara changed Rishab’s career and turned him into a pan-India star.

So, is this really a “cold Kannada ego war”?
