Social media has become an addiction not just for common people but for the film fraternity as well. Very few can resist its temptations, and even S.S. Karthikeya son of India’s top director has fallen for it.
Today marks the 50th birthday of Mahesh Babu. With no birthday posters or promos from the team, fans – already upset since the film’s launch for not getting any updates – are visibly frustrated. One X (Twitter) user even tweeted sarcastically that the father won’t tweet about the film, he won’t let his son tweet, and the producer doesn’t even know how to tweet.
This comment triggered S.S. Karthikeya to respond, not in a professional manner but in a troll-like fan response. He used one of Mahesh Babu’s GIF as a fun retort, which many felt was inappropriate for someone of his stature – especially being Rajamouli’s son and part of the production team like #SSMB29, a global release.
But as we said, very few can resist falling into social media traps. These days, most fights and retorts happen through keyboards, not face-to-face. S.S. Karthikeya is no different.
