It is better most of the time if one makes things clear with the teaser or trailer. More so with the latter as teaser can genuinely be a tease sometimes. MCA team has done exactly that, and it is a classic case where trailer undoes the expectations.

There is a right amount of anticipation on MCA, due to the big combination it has on offer. But right from the teaser, there has been an air of predictability. The trailer removes that little doubt one has regarding some freshness. It is going to be a routine commercial venture that Nani is doing off late with slight tweaks in format. The dialogues are fine, and it could be a big positive in the movie.
It is sure to open well and also pay commercially, if well made within the commercial setup, but trailer kills off any excitement that one had regarding the film. The same was the case with director Venu Sriram’s last film Oh My Friend as well which had killer casting and music. Let’s hope the same fate is not repeated here as well.
Check out the trailer below. There is not much of Sai Pallavi, and the small bit shown doesn’t impress. MCA hits the screens on December 21st.
