Prashanth Neel and Prabhas’s ‘Salaar’ is drawing huge crowds to theaters.
Rated ‘A’ by the censor board, ‘Salaar’ is strictly for adult audiences (aged 18+). ‘A’ certification allows films to feature strong violence, explicit and intense sexual scenes, and abusive language.
A messy situation arose when individuals under 18 entered a theater. The theater management sought police assistance. One frustrated attendee shared his experience on social media.
He wrote, “It’s been 45 minutes & the show hasn’t started at PVR Atrium, Hyderabad for #Prabhas’s #Salaar. Staff is saying people below 18 have entered the screen and they won’t start until they leave. It’s their responsibility to prevent them in the first place. Management is still resolving the issue with police????? We expect compensation for wasting our time!! PVR management could have prevented this situation at the entrance.”
In a country like India, strictly enforcing these rules is challenging due to awareness, theater staff availability, and other issues.
