Salaar: Time For Some Real Records!

Salaar

Post-Baahubali Prabhas’ films are breaking every kind of record except one record. Prabhas’ films broke BookMyShow interests records, YouTube Trailer Views records, the BMS app crashed, and whatnot.

It happened with Saaho and Adipurush, and it is now happening with Salaar too. But the record Prabhas, his fans, and his buyers want him to break is box office records which is the true testimony to anyone’s superstardom.

Prabhas’ films have not been able to make either his fans or the buyers happy after Baahubali. After a strong first weekend, all of his films fizzled out due to poor content and weak performance by Prabhas himself.

Salaar is his best chance to wipe out all the negativity against him for choosing poor scripts and delivering disinterested performances. A strong base has been laid, the bookings are superb all over for Salaar, and the audience is ready to trust Prabhas once more.

Prabhas has to hit it out of the park with Salaar. This time no ifs and buts will work. Prashanth Neel’s last film KGF collected close to 1300 crores. Prabhas’ own Baahubali 2 collected around 1700 crores.

So expectations from a film in their combo will obviously be sky-high. Anything under Rs. 1000 crore worldwide gross would be considered a disappointment after so much hype. The stakes are extremely high, and Salaar has the potential to redefine Prabhas’ post-Baahubali trajectory.
