Samantha Ruth Prabhu Rakt Bramhand

Raj & DK’s new show Rakt Bramhand – The Bloody Kingdom entered into the development phase last year. The duo has already cast Samantha Ruth Prabhu and they have recently welcomed Aditya Roy Kapur to portray one of the lead characters.

The fantasy series will arrive on Netflix and a potential release date is yet to be revealed by the makers. However, Karan Johar’s Dharma Cornerstone Agency said on social media that Aditya will undergo training for his role and the show will bring a world that everyone has heard about as they grew up.

The show will additionally feature Ali Fazal and Wamiqa Gabbi in other important roles and is being directed by Rahi Anil Barve, who is known for his work in Tumbbad.

Notably, the show will mark Raj & DK’s third collaboration with Samantha. The trio worked together in The Family Man Season 2 and Citadel Honey Bunny in the past.

Samantha received a lot of praise for her performance as the antagonist Raji in The Family Man. While the character died in the end, it remains memorable among the audience. Although the praise continued with Citadel Honey Bunny, the show received a mixed response, with most of them calling it a one-time decent watch.

Considering that Samantha’s collaboration with Raj & DK have always been good, expectations are sky-high, specifically since the fantasy genre also has a huge fanbase among the audience.

Samantha has not appeared in any films for around two years after the failure of Kushi and Shaakuntalam in 2023. Since she is already getting a lot of appreciation on OTT, it seems like people have to wait for some more time until they get to see her on the big screen.
