Sandeep Reddy Vanga has shown a refreshing lack of ego while speaking about SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi. At the Romanchakam event, the filmmaker openly admitted that the Mahesh Babu-starrer is a bigger film than his own Spirit.
What makes the statement more interesting is that Vanga did not try to turn it into a competition. Spirit itself is a huge project with Prabhas in the lead, yet Vanga was straightforward in acknowledging the scale of Varanasi.
He also indicated that if necessary, they are willing to move. That suggests Vanga and the Spirit team are not looking at the situation purely as a clash and are ready to adjust if the release scenario demands it.
That kind of approach is unusual when two major star-driven films are involved. Instead of protecting his own film or trying to prove that Spirit is bigger, Vanga simply gave Rajamouli credit.
Varanasi is being mounted on a massive canvas, while Spirit has its own identity and scale under Vanga. The two films are attempting very different things.
For Sandeep Reddy Vanga, acknowledging that difference doesn’t make Spirit any smaller. If anything, accepting that another filmmaker’s film is bigger and being ready to move if required shows confidence rather than insecurity.
In an industry where comparisons often become a matter of ego, Vanga’s approach stands out.
#VARANASI IS BIGGER THAN ₹1000 CR FILM… అవసరమైతే మేం జరుగుతాం!
Bigger than #Spirit !
