“Animal” has become a massive hit, securing its position as one of the biggest hits ever. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and featuring Ranbir Kapoor, the film is on the verge of reaching the Rs 800 crore mark in global box office earnings.
Sandeep Vanga recently announced that he is gearing up to pen the screenplay for his next project, “Spirit,” in which Prabhas will take on the role of a police officer in a crime drama. He said that the shoot will kick off in September 2024.
However, the latest buzz in Tollywood circles suggests that Sandeep Reddy Vanga has opted to prioritize the sequel to “Animal” titled “Animal Park” before embarking on “Spirit.”
The exact reason behind this decision remains unclear, but speculations point to Prabhas’ existing commitments and uncertainties regarding release schedules and shooting timelines.
Prabhas is currently immersed in the shooting of “Kalki” and has future projects lined up, including “Salaar Part 2,” a film with Maruthi, and a collaboration with director Hanu Raghavpudi.
Consequently, “Spirit” is expected to kick off after the production of “Animal Park.” It promises to delve deeper into darker and more violent storytelling realms.
