Scions of legendary actors pitted on legends

Jr-ntr-dulqer-salmaan-movieOne celebrity in Tollywood who makes the maximum number of comments but goes unaffected is doubtlessly Ram Gopal Varma. Whenever he watches a new movie, he has something or the other to comment which irks the people concerned. The director’s latest comments were targetted on Malyalam superstar Mammooty.

After watching ‘Ok Bangaram’, RGV opines that Mammooty’s son Dulquer Salman is tonnes better than his superstar father and even advised the legendary actor to learn acting from his son. Mammooty has been a two time National Award winner for his films and Malayalis cherish his movies proudly.

This isn’ the first time RGV targetted legendary actors. After watching Jr.NTR’s ‘Temper’, the director made the same type of comments on legendary Sr.NTR opining that his grandson is a lot better than the legend. Though Jr.NTR chose to ignore, Mammooty’s son Dulquer Salman didn’t keep quiet and humbly says, “In ten lifetimes I won’t be one millionth the actor my father is, no matter what I accomplish.”

It’s really interesting to see how RGV likes to make merry by making controversy out of nothing. Comparing senior heroes with present generation isn’t fair. Those days, film making was different and as times passed by, Telugu films transformed from dialogue oriented high drama to a more realistic cinema currently. No one thinks RGV is naive to this transformation. But the way he pits scions on the legends is ununderstandable.
