Shiva Nirvana’s Irumudi is all set for a theatrical release this Friday, with US premieres beginning Thursday night.
Fresh from Chennai after approving the final copy and dispatching the overseas prints, director Shiva Nirvana sat down with M9’s Dheeraj for a quick conversation. Right from the beginning, he sounded extremely confident about the film and its box-office potential.
During the interview, Shiva discussed changing audience preferences and why routine films are no longer being appreciated. He also revealed that actors he is in touch with, including Nani, Vijay Deverakonda, and Naga Chaitanya, are not interested in doing routine stories anymore.
The trailer has already made a strong impact, while the Ayyappa-themed songs have generated good buzz. That momentum is now clearly visible in the film’s encouraging early advance-booking trends.
