Siddharth has been a lot in news lately, what with his help in the rehabilitation and relief work during the Chennai flood. The actor, himself being a victim, saw some of the worst of the deluge as he lost his house, office, and three studios. However, he chose to selflessly work for the recovery of the state, along with RJ Balaji, instead of moving out of the city.

The actor, who is being labelled as a superhero now, had been trying to avoid the media but recently caught up and shared his whole experience. He talked about the difficulties and problems he faced in the flood and what it was like wading through the waters to give out the relief material. The actor revealed that some people were really desperate and, suffering from such losses, even went on to steal food.
The actor had earlier criticised the media for not highlighting the issue enough but is now asking not to ‘politicize’ the issue.
